Our national Dutch love of coffee amounts to more than 12 billion cups of coffee a year.*Coffee grounds from all these cups usually end up in waste bins. Such a shame! To help, Coffee Based has developed the Coffee Recycle Service (CRS). By using the service, your company is able to save spent coffee grounds from waste incineration. Instead, your coffee grounds are used as a valuable raw material.
And the great thing is, you get part of the coffee grounds back in the form of new products. Choose yourself; for example, do you go for soaps, plant pots or coffee cups made of coffee grounds. The KRS shop is full of products that you can choose from.
How does the Coffee Recycle Service work?
Collect your coffee grounds
Coffee grounds of companies are usually processed as residual waste, then incinerated. You can make a difference. If you drink more than 600 cups of coffee or 5 kilos of coffee beans per week, the coffee recycle service is for you! Choose to have your coffee grounds skip the trash, to be collected and returned to you as a new product.
We arrange everything for you
A special coffee grounds collection bin is installed at your organisation. Your coffee grounds are collected in the collection bin by the operator or your own employees. As soon as it is full, we exchange it for a clean one. No matter your current coffee supplier or waste collector of the waste stream now; we will arrange everything for you.

Receive credit in our shop
Based on the amount of coffee you drink, you pay a CRS fee. You will immediately receive part of this amount back as store credit, to spend in our online store. This way your coffee grounds will come back to you automatically.
Of course! As a CRS customer you also receive the Coffee Based products at great price.
