Free From Plastic Challenge 2023
It’s time to say NO to single-use plastic in all food distribution channels within Societe Generale premises! The Procurement Department of the Societe Generale Group invited companies from around the world to participate in the "Plastic-Free" challenge and potentially become a new partner of the Societe Generale Group. Out of nearly 900 submissions and after three selection rounds, Coffee Based has been chosen as the grand winner! This means Coffee Based will become a preferred supplier within the Societe Generale Group, starting in France and potentially expanding internationally.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Gorinchem is an annual award that recognizes entrepreneurship and innovation in the region. This accolade provides local businesses with a platform to showcase their achievements and impact.
Coffee Based finished as the runner-up in the Entrepreneur of the Year awards. This Gorinchem-based company is recognized for its innovative approach and its continual perseverance and pioneering spirit.

We are proud that Coffee Based won the regional innovation award in 2023. Coffee Based was recognized for repurposing coffee grounds as a raw material and energy source, as well as its overall contribution to sustainability. They outperformed eleven other nominees in the Sustainability and Smart Industry category.

We are honored to be included in the Food100 list! It is motivating to receive recognition for the impact that Coffee Based's work has in addressing our climate and food challenges. Using 'waste materials' as a resource is often very difficult due to regulations. That’s why we greatly appreciate that this award gives us and 99 others a platform to showcase all the innovations that are already possible!

It provides a platform for the 100 most influential food innovators in the Netherlands, giving more attention to their impact on the food system. Make it Circular Challenge 2023
We are excited to announce that our Arabica Cup has been selected as one of the 50 nominees in the Make it Circular Challenge by What Design Can Do and the IKEA Foundation!
This global competition called for the creation of products, services, and systems for a circular future. On May 3rd, we will find out which 13 of the 650 entries worldwide will be crowned as the most promising projects this year.
