You're not alone! 75% of the Dutch start their day with a cup of coffee. Such an important drink deserves a special day. Today is National Coffee Day! Coffee also plays a significant role for the Coffee Based team. For us, it's not only a raw material for products but also a perfect fuel for new ideas!
Coffee: The Fuel for New Ideas
Coffee provides inspiration and great ideas, and we take that very literally. Coffee Based uses coffee grounds as a raw material for products. We create bio-based coffee granulate, which is suitable for making sheet materials, among other things.
Our designers, fueled by a good cup of coffee, got to work with this material. This is how our new coffee lamp was created—the perfect lamp to add a cozy ambiance to your coffee corner.
Earlier, we asked for your ideas for the name of this lamp. What a response we received! There must have been quite a few cups of coffee consumed in the process.
"Bean of Light" immediately resonated with us and came through from several directions. So it was quickly clear: Our new lamp is named **Bean of Light**!
It's a unique design that adds an extra touch of coffee luxury to your coffee corner, office, or dining room. The twisted strips and the subtle coffee bean engraving create a warm and inviting lighting effect.
P.S. The name suggestion 'prutlamp' didn’t make it this time, but it’s definitely high on the list for next time, especially among our colleagues in Rotterdam.
